Our traditional family-run guesthouse – now in its fourth generation - has been following specific goals in order to uphold the traditional spirit of hospitality since the day it was built.
Our guesthouse is down-to-earth, traditional, and friendly and gives great personal attention to its guests and will continue to do so in the future. You should feel at home the moment you first arrive.
Every day, we use the following ten points as a yardstick to successfully operate our business:
- Our common goal is to be the most friendly, personal, down-to-earth and individual 3-star traditional guesthouse on Lake Achensee and beyond its gates.
- We don't let anybody in the region outperform us. All our actions are designed to provide all our guests, large and small, individual and best possible benefits through our services and products.
- Our guests value our small but fine house options, without all the frills and frippery. They particularly appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the landlord and landlady, the personal contact between the Strauss family and their guests, the personal Tyrolean atmosphere and, of course, the great value for money that we provide in the 3-star guesthouse sector.
- We, the Strauss family and the Tyrol team, feel it is our duty to provide our guests with a friendly, successful, traditional holiday in the singularly beautiful area around Lake Achensee and the Karwendel valleys. Our shared purpose is to inspire our guests.
- When it comes to being able to inspire our guests, we realise that every one of us must do our very best to be able to achieve this goal through harmony, joy and perfect conviction. We remain as committed to winning over our guests, large and small, into becoming regulars and to becoming friends of the hotel in the same way that our great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers were.
- We aim to serve all the groups, our guests, our staff, our suppliers our banks, the community and the public necessary for our company's success. For example, we buy all our commodities from local and regional producers.
- We share common goals for our company which we have worked out together. Our company is more than just a place where our staff earns money. The workplace is also an intellectual home. Each employee has, by virtue of his decision to work for this traditional guesthouse, the opportunity and duty of subscribing to the philosophy of this house.
The success of every employee is clearly controllable by the level of identification with our philosophy. Positive changes can be brought about through tolerance and by being open to new ideas and through appropriate ongoing training.
- Mistakes may be made but only with the aim of not repeating them again. Should this still happen however, we are pleased if we are informed on the spot as it is only here in this place that we have the opportunity of putting things right.
We don't regard criticism as a negative thing; instead we see it as an opportunity to improve ourselves. However, this should always happen here on the spot and straight away so that we are able to remedy any failings. Since only a satisfied guest can be a regular guest.
- Everybody in the team trusts one another 100 %. We are a homogenous team and act accordingly on a daily business. We respect every individual member of the team. We employ the best-possible and most team-friendly people so that our house philosophy can be achieved.
